Meet the Doctor

Dr. Lawrence W. Bandoni, DMD

A Hanover native and graduate of Hanover High School, Dr. Bandoni earned his Chemistry degree from Bridgewater State College — receiving the award for highest grades in the sciences — before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1977.

He went on to serve in the United States Air Force Dental Corps for nearly two decades, stationed at bases across the country and overseas, including Chanute AFB, Osan AFB in South Korea, Lackland AFB, and Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center, where he completed a two-year general dentistry specialty program. While stationed at Iraklion Air Station in Crete, Greece as Base Dental Surgeon, he met and married his wife, Mary. He went on to lead the Chief of General Dentistry Department at Andrews Air Force Base, was promoted to Colonel, and retired from service in 1996.

Dr. Bandoni holds memberships in the American Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Massachusetts Dental Society, and received the Mastership — the Academy of General Dentistry's highest award for continuing dental education — in 2007. He has served the Hanover community as a Public Library Trustee, President of the Hanover Tri-Town Rotary Club, and Chairman of the South Shore District Dental Society.

Dr. Bandoni lives in Norwell with his family and enjoys jogging, piano, oil painting, writing, and reading in his free time.
